Have you ever thought that you are gifted? Well, this Christmas take time to recognize that the gifts that strengthen your mental and physical health.
A recent article in the Huffington Post by Carol Morgan pinpointed 12 toxic thoughts many of us commonly entertain that sabotage our happiness, health and vitality. Some of the ones mentioned are victimhood, regret, insecurity, lack of confidence and the feeling “life would be better if only … .”
Though the article mentions constructive actions we could take to deal with Morgan’s 12 commonly held beliefs, we can actually do more to stop these toxic thoughts in their tracks. According to recent studies, learning to recognize the spiritual gifts we already have and to utilize them is the key to our well-being.
Here are five gifts that I have found useful at this time of year when our families gather together and some of the old hurts, insecurities and worries begin to rise to the surface and threaten to create friction.
